Health system of Uzbekistan has sufficient potential of material, technical and human resources. Thus, the population of Uzbekistan receives qualified medical aid of more than 1000 hospitals of different profiles, 4000 outpatients’ clinics, 501 family medical dispensary, 2606 family clinic, etc. The capacity of the pharmaceutical market of Uzbekistan in 2005 was about $500 million and it is characterized by high growth rates (up to 10% per year). More than 4500 pharmaceutical products are registered in Uzbekistan, including 500 names, being produced in Uzbekistan, more than 2000 preparations of the foreign pharmaceutical companies, 1300 pharmaceutical products of CIS producers.
